James I. 1603-1625. AR sixpence. 2.83 gm. 25 mm. Second coinage. Third bust. Rose mm. Dated 1605. S. 2657. N. 2102. Near Very Fine; very light scuff on obverse; date on reverse appears to have been punched into a finished die and it overlaps the shield. Unusual reverse die work.
