PAPHLAGONIA, Sinope. Circa 490-425 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 5.88 g). Head of sea-eagle right; [below, talon above dolphin] / Quadripartite incuse square with two opposing quarters filled, the others stippled and with pellet. SNG Ashmolean 227; HGC 7, 385 corr. (SNG BM reference). VF, toned, hard deposits. Very rare with obverse type right, none in BM, Copenhagen, or SNG von Aulock.
