LESBOS, Mytilene. Circa 377-326 BC. EL Hekte – Sixth Stater (10mm, 2.52 g, 12h). Veiled head of Demeter right, wearing wreath of grain ears / Tripod tied with fillet; all in linear square within incuse square. Bodenstedt Em. 91; HGC 6, 1017. Near EF, toned, a few light scratches.

The filleted tripod usually refers to a victory in an athletic contest.
