KINGS of LYDIA. temp. Alyattes – Kroisos. Circa 620/10-550/39 BC. Fourrée Trite – Third Stater (13mm, 4.06 g). Head of roaring lion right, sun with multiple rays on forehead / Two incuse squares. For prototype, cf. Weidauer Group XVI, 86–9; cf. Traité I 44; cf. SNG Kayhan 1013; cf. SNG von Aulock 2868–9. Good VF, plating broken in spots.
