JUDAEA, Herodians. Herod I (the Great). 40-4 BCE. Æ 2 Prutot (17mm, 2.54 g, 12h). Samarian mint. Undated, but struck circa RY 3 (40/39 or 38/7 BCE). Winged caduceus / Poppy head. Meshorer 46; Hendin 1171a; HGC 10, 653. Near VF, dark brown patina. Rare variety without date or monogram.
