PHOENICIA, Tyre. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Dichalkon (26mm, 15.05 g, 12h). Laureate head right, with slight drapery / Hercules standing left, holding club and lion skin, and sacrificing with patera over altar to left; two baetyli (the Ambrosial Rocks of Tyre) to inner left. Cf. Rouvier 2314 (baetyli to upper left); AUB –; BMC –. Fine, light earthen green patina. Extremely rare.
