Bareheaded and draped bust right / [EXERCITVS]/ SYRIAC[VS/ S C], Emperor on horsing right, saluting three soldiers standing left, each holding signum. RIC II 936 var. (bust type); BMCRE 1690 note; Banti 286. Fine, rough tan-brown surfaces. Rare, particularly so with this bust type.

According to an old collection ticket accompanying this coin, it was found in Skipton, North Yorkshire, England, circa 1900.
