SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Demetrios I Soter. 162-150 BC. AR Tetradrachm (31mm, 16.05 g, 12h). Soloi mint. Struck circa 155/4-150 BC. Diademed head right within laurel wreath / Tyche, holding baton and cornucopia, seated left on cippus decorated with winged Tritoness; to outer left, monogram above owl standing right, monogram to outer right. SC 1611.3; Houghton, Royal 69–70 (A2/P4); HGC 9, 795a; Jameson 2349 (same dies). VF, toned, light porosity, slightly double struck on the reverse, a few marks and scratches. Very rare.
