Diademed and draped bust right / Eagle standing left on prow right; palm frond in background; to left, monogram above club surmounted by Tyre monogram; to right, A and monogram above ΔΠP (date); monogram between legs. SC 2197.1b; Newell, Tyre 164; HGC 9, 1131; DCA 235. Good VF, lightly toned. Extremely rare.


Drachms of Demetrios II from Tyre are extremely rare, with only seven examples recorded in Seleucid Coins.
