Isaac II Angelus. First reign, 1185-1195. EL Aspron Trachy (27mm, 3.49 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. The Virgin Mary enthroned facing, holding facing bust of the Holy Infant / Isaac standing facing, holding cruciform scepter and akakia, being crowned by St. Michael the Archangel, holding scepter with tripartite tip. DOC 2a; CLBC 7.2.1; SB 2002. Good VF, toned, a few minor scratches in margins.
