BRITISH COINS, Anne (1702-1714), Gold Guinea, 1714, third draped bust left, rev crowned cruciform post-union emblematic shields, sceptres in angles, garter star at centre, date either side of crown over English shield, edge grained, 8.39g (MCE 226; S 3574). Good very fine, light scratch across neck of portrait into field and a little weakly struck at lower right of French arms, attractively toned.
