COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS, British Historical Medals, Princess Charlotte of Wales, Engagement to Prince William of Orange, Copper Medal, 1814, by T Webb, bust right, rev standing figure of Hope, SPES PVBLICA, 53.5mm (BHM 778; Eimer 1041). Very fine, slight spotting and two edge bruises.
The engagement was short-lived and the Princess later married Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld.
