INDIAN COINS, PRINCELY STATES, Travancore, Tulabharam Coinage, Gold ½-Pagoda, inscription in wreath, rev conch shell in wreath, 1.28g (SAC KM X10). Imperfect edge, uncirculated.
The Tulabharam coins were struck for the weighing ceremony of the maharaja. Those not used on the scales were distributed amongst the Brahmins. The legend reads "Sri Patmanabha" and refers to the national deity
