FORGERIES, Athens. Circa 469/5-460 BC. Silver Plated Brass of CU "Dekadrachm" (32mm, 24.84 g, 4h). Fischer-Bossert's "Alexandria" type. Manufactured in the 19th century. Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing facing, wings spread; olive sprig and [crescent] to upper left, A-Θ-E around; all within incuse square. Fischer-Bossert, Athenian F34-38. VF, toned, some cleaning scratches under tone, deposits in devices.
