THRACO-MACEDONIAN REGION. Uncertain. Ae (Circa 4th-3rd centuries BC).
Obv: Crested helmet right.
Rev: Winged kerykeion.
Apparently unpublished.
Extremely rare. The lack of any visible lettering makes a more certain attribution difficult, but similar silver tetartemoria featuring a helmet/kerykeion (and amphora) type are known for the region (and are themselves uncertain), and the style of the helmet and kerykeion for this specimen shares a resemblence to those featured on the Salamis mint 1/2 Units of Philip III of Macedon.
Condition: Good very fine.
Weight: 2.48 g.
Diameter: 12 mm.
