Dieses Los umfasst die zeitgenössischen Faksimiles a) und b) auf einem Blatt, c) und d) auf einem anderen Blatt, enthalten in Th. Anburys Werk über seine Reisen durch Amerika, 1789. Das Buch besteht aus zwei Ganzlederbänden: Band 1, 25+467 S. mit mehreren Falttafeln und gefalteter großformatiger Landkarte, und Band 2, Seite 35-558 (es fehlen S. 1-34). Der Untertitel von Anburys Werk lautet: "... in a series of letters". In diesen Briefen beschreibt er u. a. wiederholt und mit einer Fülle von Details das amerikanische Papiergeldwesen und überliefert wichtige Beobachtungen. This lot contains the contemporary facsimiles a) and b) on one leaf, c) and d) on another leaf, included in Th. Anbury's work on his travels through America, 1789. The book consists of two leather bound volumes: Volume 1, 25+467 pages with several folded plates and a folded large map, and volume 2, pages 35-558 (pages 1 to 34 are missing). Anbury describes "... in a series of letters" numerous details of American paper money use, counterfeiting, inflation, politics. The book is a wealth of information on that subject, too.
