ARABIA, Southern. Himyar. Tha'rān Ya'ūb Yuhan'im. Circa AD 175-215. AR Unit (14.5mm, 1.59 g, 11h). Raydan mint. Head right, monogram of South Arabian letters ML(?) on cheek; monogram to left, semicircular dotted border with arrowhead at lower end / Diademed head right; T'RN Y'B (king's name in South Arabian) above, RYDN (mint name in South Arabian) below, 'scepter' to right, monogram to left. CAF 3.24i; Huth 449–50 var. (no monogram on cheek); SNG ANS –. VF, toned, patch of find patina on obverse. Extremely rare with monogram on cheek.

Munro-Hay (in CAF) notes that A. de Longpérier ("Monnaie des Homérites frappée à Raidan (Arabie méridionale)" in RN 1968) recorded an example with the letter B on the cheek. That example is illustrated with a line drawing, and it may actually have the same monogram that is present on this coin.
