Cr. 497/2d. AR. g. 3.67 mm. 19.00 RR. Insignificant area of weakness on obverse, otherwise EF. Very rare and of considerable historical interest. The issue commemorates the triumph of J. Caesar in 45 BC. when the Senate decreed to him a gilded sella and a jewelled wreath. A portrait of outstanding style and enchanting old cabinet tone with golden hues.
