Great Britain. Crown, 1934. S.4036; ESC-374 (R2); Dav-110; KM-836. George V. Obverse portrait of King left by Bertram MacKennal. Reverse G. Kruger Gray's iconic 'wreath and crown' design. This is the rarest and most desirable of the nine dates in the series. Only 932 pieces were struck and although they do appear in the market place occasionally, they are seen less frequently now. The slightest evidence of wear, but good surfaces and a crisp edge distinguish this coin. The current (Spink 2015) catalogue value is 4000 (over $6000) in Extremely Fine, and of course much more in Uncirculated. A great coin with prooflike reverse fields. NGC graded EF-45. Estimated Value $3,700 - 4,000
