Sovereign 1908C Marsh 183 and unlisted as a currency coin by Spink, VF the surfaces slightly uneven with some surface marks, listed by Marsh as R6 with a mintage of just 633 pieces, Marsh states he had heard of six examples and made notes on just four, he ranks this and the 1819 Sovereign as the two key coins in the Sovereign series
