SICILY, Syracuse. temp. Hipparinus & Nysaeus to Hiketas I. 352-344 BC. AR Stater (20mm, 8.53 g, 1h). Pegasos flying left / Helmeted head of Athena right; ΣYPAKOΣION to right. Pegasi 1/2 = SNG Ashmolean 2033 (same obv. die); SNG ANS 494-5. Good VF, toned, light scuffs under tone on reverse, a couple spots of die rust. Rare issue with ethnic ending -ON.
