PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy I Soter, as satrap, 323-305 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27mm, 16.50 g 1), Arados, c. 320/19-315 BC. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on backless throne, holding long scepter with his left hand and eagle in his right; to left, monogram of ΑΡ. Price 3426. SNG Munich 745 (attributed to Byblos). A splendid piece of very fine style. Good extremely fine.
