Lot of three ancient silver coins mounted as pendants. 1. Corinth, c. 345-307 BC. Stater (Silver, 25mm, 16.33g 9). Ϙ Pegasus flying left with pointed wing. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to left, wearing pearl necklace and Corinthian helmet with leather neck guard and laurel wreath on bowl; behind neck, boar; below, A - P. Calciati 435. Ravel 1017. Nicely toned. Obverse struck off center, otherwise, good very fine.
2. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 22mm, 12.31 g, 1). Struck in the name of Alexander III, Ephesos, c. 295/294-289/288. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. Zeus seated left; in field to left, Ε-Φ flanking bee. Müller 1017. Price 1877. Thompson -. A beautiful example of lovely Hellenistic style. Extremely fine.
The Roman Republic. L. Scribonius Libo, 62 BC. Denarius (Silver, 21mm, 10.53 g 6), Rome. Diademed head of Bonus Eventus to right; behind, LIBO; before, BON EVENT. Rev. Puteal Scribonianum, decorated with garland and two lyres; at base, hammer; above, PVTEAL; below, SCRIBON. Babelon (Scribonia) 8. Crawford 416/1a. Sydenham 928. Attractively toned. Good very fine.
All mounted in a very attractive, modern pale gold frames with suspension loops. The gold is stamped 750 accompanied by a maker's monogram. Rev. .
