M. Porcius Cato, 89 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14mm, 2.20 g 3), Rome. M CATO Head of Liber to right, wearing ivy-wreath; below, acrostolium. Rev. Victory seated right, holding patera in her right hand and palm-branch in her left; in exergue, VICTRIX. Babelon (Porcia) 7. Crawford 343/2b. Sydenham 597c. A clear and nicely toned example. Some deposits and a metal flaw on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
