Maximinus I, 235-238. As (Copper, 27mm, 13.51 g 12), Rome, 236-237. MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG GERM Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximinus I to right. Rev. PAX AVGVSTI / S - C Pax standing left, holding olive branch in her right hand and transverse scepter in her left. BMC 155. Cohen 39. RIC 83. Rare. A beautiful and clear example with a powerful portrait and a dark brown patina. Some traces of corrosion and with a flan crack at 11 o'clock, otherwise, about extremely fine.
