ISLANDS off THRACE, Thasos. After c. 146 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 34mm, 16.97 g 12). Head of young Dionysos to right, wearing taenia and ivy wreath. Rev. HPAKΛEOVΣ / ΣΩTEPOΣ / ΘAΣIΩN Herakles, nude, standing left, holding a club set on the ground with his right hand and with a lion skin draped over his left arm; to left, M. SNG Copenhagen 1047. Struck fairly early in the series and of relatively good style. Good very fine.
