THESSALY, Larissa. Early to mid 4th century BC. Drachm (Silver, 21mm, 6.03 g 6). Thessalos striding to right, naked but for chlamys over his shoulders, his petasos attached to a cord around his neck and flying in the air behind him, holding a band with both hands around the forehead of a bull leaping right; all within a dotted border. Rev. ΛΑΡΙ / ΣΑΙΑ Bridled horse with trailing rein prancing right; all within shallow incuse square. BCD Thessaly 369. Beautifully toned and well centered. Good very fine.
