EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Macedonian 1st Meris. 2nd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 15.00 g, 12h). Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield / Club; monogram and MAKEΔONΩN above, ΠPΩTHΣ and two monograms below; all within oak wreath, thunderbolt to left. Prokopov, Silver 760/IM 13 (O8/R– [unlisted rev. die]). Near EF, toned, minor mark on obverse. Exceptional early imitation of good style.
