THRACE, Anchialus. Gordian III, with Tranquillina. AD 238-244. Æ Tetrassarion (26mm, 13.42 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian and draped bust of Tranquillina, wearing stephane, facing one another / Homonoia standing left, holding cornucopia and sacrificing with patera over lighted and garlanded altar to left. AMNG II 674 var. (obv. legend); Varbanov 718 var. (same). Good VF, green-brown patina.
