Attica, Athens AR New Style Tetradrachm. Struck 133/2 BC. Polycharm(os), Niko(genes), and Themistokle(s), magistrates. Head of Athena Parthenos right, wearing necklace, pendent earring, and triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with the protomes of four horses above the visor, a Pegasos in flight rightward above the raised earpiece, and a curvilinear ornament on the shell / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; A-ӨE above ΠOΛY-XAPM NIKOΓ ӨEMIΣ TOKΛH (magistrates' names) in five lines across field; winged kerykeion to left, Ξ on amphora, ΔI below; all within wreath. Thompson 378g-i (same obv. die). 16.73g, 28mm, 12h.
