Armenia, Kingdom of Sophene, Arkathias Æ16. 190-175 BC. Head of king right, wearing tiara; counter-mark in right field / APIAPAM(?), Male on horseback galloping right, star in lower field. 3.78g, 15mm, 1h.

Very Fine. Unpublished (?).

According to Kovacs (Not published yet), Arkathias I was the successor to Zariadres (circa 190 BC) and founder of Arkathiakert. He apparently died during a conflict with the Seleucid king Antiochos IV.
