Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III the Great. 336-323 B.C. AR tetradrachm (29 mm, 17.10 g, 6 h). Ake-Ptolemaïs (or possibly Tyre) mint, Dated CY 31 (316/5 B.C.). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter; in left field, Persian era date. Price 3281; Newell 34; HGC 10, 3. Good VF, light attractive tone, faint scratch on obverse. Well centered and nicely struck, with a remarkably clear date.
