NETHERLANDS - Order of the Union / Orde van de Unie. Founded by Louis Napoleon 1808. Abolished and substituted by the Emperor in 1811 at Amsterdam with the Order of the Reunion. A gold tipped eight–pointed star, golden bees between the arms, suspended from a golden crown. Obv. golden medallion with lion in waves with motto DOE WEL EN ZIE NIET OM in gold letters on blue enamel. Rev. bundle of 11 arrows with scepter superimposed within serpent with motto EENDRAGT MAAKT MAGT. Knight's Cross. Bacqueville, Paris. Obverse with slightly different design.
