SYRIA, Decapolis. Abila. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ (29mm, 21.88 g, 12h). Dually-dated CY 270 and Year 4 of an unknown era (AD 206/7). Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Hexastyle temple, with central arch, pediment surmounted by figure of Victory, and two flanking towers with arched doors and window; flaming altar within; TO Δ above and KOC to right (dates). Spijkerman 18; SNG ANS 1127. VF, earthen green patina. Great architectural type. Rare.
