Very Fine. Rare.
From the Andrew McCabe Collection.
This coin presents a rare occurrence of a woman signing as the moneyer of an issue of coinage, and the female head on the obverse might be Mineia herself. Known from contemporary inscriptions as a major benefactor to the Roman city of Paestum at Poseidonia, the building featured on the reverse was perhaps another of her donations to the city.
