KM-35. American eagle, ingot punch of "U.S. MINT, PHILADELPHIA"; Reverse: Three line statement of gold weight, 0.2354 Troy Ounce. Once called the ARAMCO issue (Arabian-American Oil Company), these gold pieces equal to one and four Pounds, struck as concession payments in lieu of increasingly scarce British gold Sovereigns. Very scare at this level since the fields are subject to luster breaks because of the incuse striking. The example offered has full luster across the fields of both sides, RARE as such NGC MS-62+.
