KM-28; Berman-1531. Sede Vacante issue. Struck between the 8th and 16th of May, 1605. Has seen some extensive circulation, but as a type nearly impossible to find. We could find only one other specimen (in VF) to cross the auction block; at Nunismatica Ars Classica (Auction 81, lot 453) where it hammered for €2,000. Attractive old grey toning. NGC FINE-12.
