Baden. Friedrich I gold 10 Mark 1890-G MS66 NGC, Karlsruhe mint, KM267, Jaeger-188. The first year for this revised "Large German Eagle" type, with substantial frost over delicately preserved surfaces and attractive tone that adds character to the appearance. The strike also shows in refreshingly complete detail, with light die lines, possibly as a result of striking from an aged die, seen circling a portion of the obverse legends upon close inspection. Tied with one other example (dated 1898) for the finest graded of the type at NGC.From The Kaiser Collection of German Gold Coins
