Saxony. Albert gold 5 Mark 1877-E MS67 NGC, Dresden mint, KM1239, Jaeger-260. Microscopic die polish lines in the obverse fields create glinting luster with the appealing addition of light apricot tone elevating the appeal. On the reverse, the finish is more of a frosty-satin, with fresh mint bloom radiating the eagle. Upon close inspection, a large die crack is seen moving from the reverse rim at 6 o'clock, to the eagle's head on the central shield. As the grade suggests, few marks exist, either on the highpoints or in the open fields, making this coin easily the finest we have seen. A great opportunity thus for the world-class German cabinet. From The Kaiser Collection of German Gold Coins
