Schaumburg-Lippe. Georg gold 20 Mark 1904-A MS65 NGC, Berlin mint, KM205, Jaeger-285. Mintage: 5,500. A fully radiant coin with fine horizontal die polish lines that traverse the fields and bestow additional sparkle against the frost of the raised devices. As one might expect from a "Gem", few marks are observed, and a light sprinkle of dirt-colored debris, an undeniable testament to the coin's originality, is faintly visible in the field to the left of Georg's portrait. Orange-gold patination blends throughout and serves to round out the appearance. A very low-mintage issue for circulation-strike German gold, and almost certainly among the two or three finest survivors from that group. For the quality-obsessed collector of German coins, an opportunity that is almost certain to remain unduplicated for years to come. From The Kaiser Collection of German Gold Coins
