Philip V gold 8 Escudos 1732 Mo-F XF45 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM148, Onza-421. Variety with denomination and assayer initials on the reverse. Partially lustrous and choice for the designation with strongly defined details, little actual high-point wear and attractive surface quality. Extremely rare with less than ten examples confirmed by the cataloguer, this variety not included in Eliasberg. Currently the single example of this extremely rare date certified by NGC, superior to the Norweb and Gerber coins and certainly among the finest known. A commanding example of the first regular milled Mexican onza, destined to become one of the centerpieces in the next owner's collection. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins
