Ferdinand VI gold 4 Escudos 1750-Mo M AU55 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM137, Cal-107. A most attractive example, very lustrous and rather sharply struck, with the slight high-point friction evidence and scattered handling marks in the fields expected for the designation. Slight evidence of an overpunch on the "5" in the date but clearly not the 1750/48 variety. Truly a superb example for the issue, very rare and desirable in this select quality thus a perfect type coin for this elusive series. Currently tied with two other examples (see following lot for one of the other two!) as the finest certified of the entire type by NGC, and among the very finest seen by the cataloguer. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins
