Ferdinand VI gold 8 Escudos 1749/8 Mo-MF AU Details (Obverse Damage) NGC, Mexico City mint, KM150, Onza-598. Highly lustrous and attractive with scant high-point friction evidence and a few minute digs to the left of the bust defining the designation. The rarest issue for this 1748-1751 Ferdinand VI subtype, showing the young wigged bust and the denomination on the reverse, missing in Gerber and only represented by a "VF-Details" coin in the Eliasberg group. Among the finest seen of this overdate and very rare in this preservation despite the small and essentially unobtrusive defects mentioned by NGC. Ex. Munoz collection (Superior 6/1982, lot 1050 for $7,250)From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins

Estimate: 4000-6000 USD
