Charles IV gold 4 Escudos 1794/3 Mo-FM AU55 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM144, cf. Cal-214 (unlisted overdate). One of the available dates of this scarce type, yet in unusually attractive preservation. A great representative of the series, with substantial subdued luster and little actual wear, albeit softly struck. The overdate is clear and although not listed as such in Calico, not particularly rare. A few thin scratches near the date are mentioned for accuracy's sake. Ex.
