Charles IV gold 4 Escudos 1804 Mo-TH AU55 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM144, Cal-225. Highly lustrous and rather sharply struck for the date (compare with the noticeably softer strike on the similarly graded Eliasberg piece), with the expected handling marks for the designation and the usual roughness on the bust (see our description of the 4 Escudos 1806/5 TH for a lengthy commentary on this matter). A most attractive type coin for the series, rarely encountered in this quality. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins
