Iturbide gold 8 Escudos 1822 Mo-JM, MS61 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM313.1, Onza-1778. Lustrous Mint State and most attractive for the designation with scattered mild abrasions in the fields per the grade and now gently patinated over highly lustrous surfaces. A very popular issue, conditionally very rare and strongly coveted in this fine preservation. Only four pieces have been certified in higher technical grade (MS62) by NGC, and one of those - the Lissner specimen - hammered for $35,000 in 2014 (CNG 8/2014, lot 1893).From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins
