Head of Athena right, hair in corkscrew curls, wearing necklace and Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, the bowl decorated with coiled serpent / ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡοΥ, Nike standing left, holding wreath in right hand and stylis cradled in left arm; trident head downward in left field, star below left wing. Price 178. Müller 114. A lovely example of the classic Hellenistic stater, well centered on a broad flan with considerable luster in fields. NGC MS 5/5 - 5/5.
