Helmeted head of Athena right / Owl standing right, head facing; olive spring and crescent behind; AΘE to right; all within incuse square. Kroll 8. SNG Copenhagen 31. A pleasing example of the classic "Athenian owl." Deeply struck on a broad flan, with a considerable mirror luster in reverse fields. The highest graded Athenian tetradrachm we have ever offered. NGC Choice MS 4/5 - 5/5.
