LYCIAN DYNASTS. Ddenevele-Arrtumpara (?) (ca. 420-380 BC). AR stater (8.36 gm, 25 X 19mm, 12h). Forepart of roaring lion right, tongue protruding, within dotted circle / Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet pushed back on head, within dotted circle, diskeles behind, all within circular incuse. Cf. Traité 501 pl. 104, 21 (Xanthos). Cf. SNG Von Aulock 4183 (similar types, with legend). Seemingly unrecorded in all main references. Deeply struck from dies of elegant style on broad, lozenge-shaped flan. Choice Extremely Fine.
