The penultimate date from the series presents an obverse with evenly-toned, steel-gray color and champagne iridescence that encircles the legends, providing a pleasing frame for the well-styled portrait of Victoria. The reverse, while complimentary in nature, differs significantly from its counterpart, expressing a stormy mixture of russet and graphite patina that clings to the devices and canvasses the entire side in dramatic fashion.
